Service Work Orders

We use a series of Service Work Orders (WO) to identify, release, and schedule all work requirements to maintenance personnel.  This includes service calls and Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks.

Priorities

Each work order in our system is given one of the priority classifications noted below:

  • Priority 1 (Emergency) - This classification requires immediate action by the maintenance staff.
  • Priority 2 (Urgent) - Less critical than an emergency situation, this classification means that the action should be accomplished by the first available maintenance person but not to interfere with on-going maintenance actions.
  • Priority 3 (Routine) - This classification is assigned to work that will be accomplished on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Priority 4 (Scheduled) - This is the lowest priority that is done in the absence of more pressing requirements.
