Our Subcontractors

ocpic1In partnering with our clients, Cadata takes the long-term approach when making decisions to subcontract or self-perform work. We prefer to self-perform as much as possible, because in general this affords us greater Quality Assurance and workforce control. However, when work requires specialized skills and expensive specialty equipment such as pest control, elevator maintenance, UPS maintenance, we employ subcontractors.

How We Select a Subcontractor

Subcontractors are pre-qualified using Cadata’s proven approach to subcontracting which includes the following steps:

  • Licensing and insurance
  • Training and equipment
  • Financial stability
  • Evaluating past performance
  • Soliciting bids (at least three vendors)
  • Making contract award
  • Monitoring work from the beginning of its first day to the completion of the project to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance

How We Monitor Subcontractor's Activities

ocpic2Inspite of a careful selection process, we believe that giving a project to a subcontractor is just the beginning of our long process. We may have to deal with the unpredictable job conditions, late deliveries, or labor issues. To minimize these risks, we must be in complete control of the subcontractors’ activities in terms of scheduling, complying with laws and ordinances concerning job safety, licensing, insurance.  Written comments regarding the subcontract will be filed with the subcontract agreement. Any discrepancies will be corrected prior to the acceptance of the work. Final acceptance of all work will be contingent upon a final inspection. A completion report will be then presented to client management for review and comments. In this regard, our clients get a single point of contact for all work performed on site. This ensures a cost-effective, rapid-response approach to meeting the dynamic challenges associated in managing today’s modern facilities.
